Ask for a recording to be deleted
Arcane Compendium is a tool that Dungeon Masters use to keep notes about their games. Some DMs record their sessions so the app can write up a summary afterwards. If you played at a table where that happened, your voice may be in a recording.
You do not need an account to ask, and you do not need to give a reason.
What gets kept
- The audio. Intended to be deleted about 7 days after it has been transcribed. Automatic deletion is not yet operating, so audio may be kept longer.
- A written transcript. Produced from the audio by automated speech-to-text, and kept with the DM’s campaign notes.
- A written summary. Produced from the transcript by an automated system, and kept with the DM’s campaign notes.
No person at Arcane Compendium listens to your session as a matter of course. The transcription and the summary are done by automated systems.
Make a request
Email us and we will action it. You do not need to give a reason, and we will reply within one calendar month.
Please include the campaign code if you have it. Your DM can read it off their campaign — it is the code players use to join. It is the fastest way for us to find the right recording. If you do not have it, tell us the date of the session and roughly who was running it, and we will follow it up with you.
When we action a request we delete the audio recording, the transcript and the summary for that session. Notes your DM wrote themselves are their own and are not covered by this — we tell them a recording was deleted so they can review what they have kept.
